Program Information
The Mountain House Stallions is part of the East Bay Youth Football & Cheer Association (EBYFC). The EBYFC is committed to helping young people from all backgrounds embrace the values of sportsmanship, academic success, and physical well-being. Our football program and clinic focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. We prioritize the health and growth of each player, ensuring that the experience is positive, rewarding, and free from adult ambitions or personal glory. Similarly, our cheer program provides a safe, well-organized, and supervised setting where all cheerleaders can develop their skills. We emphasize the importance of individual participation, confidence-building, teamwork, and attention to detail, creating a welcoming atmosphere where each participant can thrive.

Starting in 2025, the East Bay Youth Football & Cheer (EBYFC) league will introduce two divisions: Premier and Champion. The Premier division will now represent what was previously known as the 'Competitive' division.
The Champion division will encompass both the former 'Competitive' teams and all secondary teams (formerly known as 'Development') fielded by each organization. It is designed for newer players to the game of football. It teaches the basics and fundamentals of the game, this program provides each player more time on the field.

and Varsity (14U).
-
Minimum Play Record (MPR):
The Minimum Play Record (MPR) refers to the required number of plays each player must participate in before the end of regulation (4th quarter) during each game. MPRs ensure that every player gets a fair opportunity to play and be involved in the game.

Older/Lighter:
Older/Lighter players are those who are one year older than the typical age for their division but may qualify to play in a lower division if their weight meets the weight limit specified in the Age/Weight Table in the EBYFC Rule Book. Please note that Older/Lighter players cannot advance in age during the season.
-
Jamboree:
The Jamboree is a fun, one-day event held in mid-August, where teams from across the EBYFC Association participate in a series of fast-paced scrimmages. This event typically takes place one week before the official start of the season.
-
Turkey Bowl:
The Turkey Bowl is the highly anticipated EBYFC Championship game held in November.

Safety
Safety is our top priority for both the youth tackle football and cheer programs at EBYFC. We are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where all young athletes can learn, grow, and develop their skills while minimizing risks. For football, our coaches focus on teaching the fundamentals, including proper techniques for tackling, blocking, and other essential skills, ensuring players build a strong foundation in the sport while prioritizing their safety.

In the cheer program, we also emphasize safety by teaching correct techniques for stunts, tumbling, and routines in a controlled and supervised environment. This helps ensure the well-being of our cheerleaders while they develop their athletic skills.

Additionally, all coaches, assistants, and volunteers are required to complete CPR certification and other necessary safety training, ensuring they are equipped to handle any emergency situations. By prioritizing safety, proper education, and skill development, we aim to provide a positive and secure experience where both football players and cheerleaders can thrive and enjoy the season safely.
